About me
Hi, I'm Jena
Allow me to introduce myself!

Food is everything. It gives us energy, it makes us happy, it lets us achieve our goals.

Born in Brisbane, Australia, I have been living near Hamburg for a few years now with my husband, Jan Philip, and our daughter. In my spare time, I often exercise, tend my vegetable garden and enjoy cooking. I prefer running, swimming and body weight exercises, although weight training used to interest me. My garden consists of simply laid out beds that I can replant year after year without the need for extensive fertilizing or digging. In my kitchen, on the other hand, you will find only a few utensils. I prefer a sharp vegetable knife, a pan and a few pots – that’s usually enough to prepare most things.

I studied exercise and nutrition sciences at the University of Queenslands. The degree is a recognized Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc) in both Australia and Germany.

My Forever Home

My Philosophy

Good nutrition should be simple - for everyone

This basic idea has motivated me for a long time and led to the foundation of Jena Moyle Nutrition.

My studies in sports and nutritional sciences have shown me time and again how much the topic of nutrition has become commercialized over the last generation. Few of us these days truly understand how to eat a balanced diet. Food often revolves around either time and convenience (e.g., fast food or delivery services) or complex upscale dishes. Meanwhile, providers of balanced options, such as HelloFresh, are expensive and aim to keep customers in the long term.

It is similar in the area of nutritional counseling and healthy eating. Much of the industry focuses on selling specific body images or promising “quick success” through their products. Unfortunately, this is also a sign of our times. Instead of concentrating on helping people develop healthy habits for the long term, industry professionals focus on quick and “easy” solutions by offering low-calorie meals and product-based solutions such as diet drinks. This, too, is a sign of our times. Instead of focusing on helping people develop long-term healthy habits, industry professionals focus on fast and “easy” solutions by providing reduced-calorie meals and product-based answers like diet drinks.

With Jena’s Kitchen, I am taking a different approach. I believe that patients need to understand how to support their health through a balanced diet—and what exactly a balanced diet is. My goal is to help my clients achieve lasting change through detailed discussions and customized strategies, weekly check-ins, and cooking events.
