Baking bread has to be the most satisfying thing to do. You put your heart and soul into each step and when it comes out of the oven looking all golden brown and is super airy inside, you are proud that you have actually made something so delicious.
This sourdough recipe is great for beginners, experienced and all those in between. It’s made from super simple ingredients that are combined to create a crunchy crusted loaf of bread. I absolutely love toasting a fresh slice with some smashed avocado, sprinkled with some feta and pumpkin seeds. If you haven’t tried this, it’s a must!
Some may be wary about the use of sourdough starter, however, it really isn’t that difficult. I always say it’s like having a house pet, that needs to be fed weekly. You can easily start your own starter (plenty of recipes online), buy a one from a local health store or sometimes people are giving it away online.
If you are a beginner in baking your own bread, go to the notes at the bottom of this page and read some of my helpful tips that I have picked up over time.
