Strawberry season has to be one of my favourite times of the year! There is nothing better than sitting on the back deck on a long summer day, enjoying a punnet of strawberries with your loved ones. What’s even better, is when the strawberries are made into a delicious, soft cake that can be easily topped with a dollop of fresh whipped cream.
This strawberry cake is so simple, it can be made from anyone. It is perfect for entertaining and completely yummy! Don’t be disappointed when it has completely disappeared within a few minutes.
Can I substitute in a different fruit?
Can I make it dairy free?
If you absolutely love strawberries, this cake is for you. It is highly recommended trying it both warm and cold. You can also be a little bit more adventurous and serve it with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream (I won’t tell, if you don’t!).
A soft, moist crumbed strawberry cake that is bursting with fresh strawberries and simple ingredients. One of the must have strawberry recipes.
